The weekly AP Top 25 polls have been released, as one UNC basketball team saw a change in their ranking from a week ago.

Now having lost three straight games, including two this past week, the UNC women's basketball program, as expected, fell out of this week's rankings. The Tar Heels garnered the 27th-most poll points, as the two teams they lost to this week, NC State and Virginia Tech, moved up to No. 3 and No. 16 respectively.

Even after losing to Georgia Tech, Hubert Davis and the UNC basketball program were able to stay at No. 3 in this week's polls. The win over previously ranked No. 7 Duke was good enough to convince the voters that the Tar Heels didn't deserve to be dropped.

Speaking of the Blue Devils, they fell two spots to No. 9 after losing to the UNC basketball program. The two rivals continue to be the only two ACC teams among the top 25 rankings.

Given the struggles they've had of late, it isn't surprising to see the UNC women's basketball program fall out of the top 25. For the men's team, it was a question as to whether or not they would drop given their early week loss, but the win over Duke was enough to keep them in the top three in the country for now.

Of course, winning games matters, as Courtney Banghart's team will have to wait until Sunday to try to end their current three-game skid. Hubert Davis' squad has two upcoming games this week, as they hope that they can continue their success in an effort to maintain (or even improve upon) their current ranking.
