Former UNC basketball star announces future intentions
It's been quite the journey for Caleb Love throughout his college career.
After spending his first three seasons with the UNC basketball program, Love found himself in the transfer portal looking for a new home for his senior year. After the dust settled, Love committed to Arizona, a place that he would find more success.
For his efforts, Love was named the PAC-12 Player of the Year, as he saw his numbers improve upon what he accomplished in Chapel Hill. He finished his senior season averaging more points (18), rebounds (4.8), and assists (3.4) per game while improving his shooting percentage from the field, three-point range, and at the free throw line.
Now, Love is set to take on another journey, as he'll be entering his name in the upcoming NBA Draft while also maintaining his collegiate eligibility.
Although the season didn't end favorably for Love and the Wildcats, now is a great time for him to test the NBA Draft waters. The former Tar Heel will have options, as he can elect to stay in the draft and take a chance on himself or return to Arizona for his fifth season of collegiate eligibility.
Based off his recent success, it's possible that Love's stock won't be higher, as multiple NBA teams might be willing to take a chance on him during the upcoming NBA Draft.
