Navigating through the NFL Draft process could be very challenging, as the college athletes looking to test their skills at the sports' highest level often look for guidance throughout the months leading up to draft day.

Drake Maye, who is projected as a top-five pick in this year's draft class, is no different, as the UNC football star has been working with a former quarterback who has quite the resume to his name.

According to the New York Post, Maye revealed that former New York Giant and two-time Super Bowl champion Eli Manning has been helping him prep for the NFL Draft. Maye played in a LIV Golf pro-am in Las Vegas, partnered with Phil Mickelson and Will Levis, and then attended an event with Manning on Wednesday.

Here's what Maye had to say in regard to his encounters with Manning:

“I’ve been working with Eli throughout the process, getting on Zooms and talking football with him. I’m working out in Mobile, Alabama, and his backup quarterback in college was Dave Morris, and he’s training me for the draft. Pretty small world. And, I was at the Manning Camp this summer, so I got to see Eli and Peyton.’’

The Manning family has quite the legacy, as the trio of Archie, Peyton and Eli have a rich history of experiences in the National Football League. Eli, the youngest of the trio, arguably has the biggest accomplishment to his name, as he's the only quarterback to beat Tom Brady, who many consider the "G.O.A.T" of the sport, in the Super Bowl (something he did twice!).

It's great to see Maye using his available resources wisely, as he's putting himself in a position to be more than ready for what is to come over the next few months. Preparation is key, and it looks like Maye is off to a really great start as he prepares for the start of his career in the NFL.
