With a week remaining in the 2023-2024 college basketball regular season, it's not a surprise that the UNC basketball program and Duke are battling it out for the top spot in the ACC.

Leading up to the big game next Saturday, ESPN College GameDay made the very surprising announcement that they'll be heading to Durham ahead of the big game (please note our sarcasm).

Depending on how the two teams fare in their early week games, this rivalry contest will have major implications regardless.

For the UNC basketball program, a win over Notre Dame secures them at least a tie of the ACC regular season title. A loss to the Fighting Irish (combined with a Duke victory at NC State) means that the winner of Saturday's game will take sole possession of the conference crown.

It's safe to say that neither team wants to share the title with one another.

The ESPN College GameDay crew will be at Cameron Indoor Stadium on March 9 from 10-12 ET, as fans, of course, have the opportunity to showcase their school spirit ahead of this huge rivalry matchup.

This isn't a typical "road game," as it is, in fact, a short trip for UNC basketball fans to make to Durham. It would be awesome to see a lot of Carolina Blue in the stands for this televised event, as the Tar Heels will look to defeat their bitter rival for the second time this season.

North Carolina vs. Duke. Final day of the regular season. ACC title on the line.

Doesn't get any better than that!
