ESPN College GameDay crew believes the UNC football program will bounce back strong
The ESPN College GameDay crew was live in Tuscaloosa on Saturday morning ahead of the huge primetime matchup between the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Georgia Bulldogs.
While the focus was on the top-10 battle between two historic programs, the crew made sure to put in their predictions for the UNC football program's rivalry game in Durham against the Duke Blue Devils.
After last week's brutal performance against JMU, it could be very difficult to side with the Tar Heels heading into this week's game. However, although it wasn't unanimous, the majority of the crew believes North Carolina will pick up another victory in this rivalry.
Desmond Howard got the ball rolling by siding with the Tar Heels, while legendary head coach Nick Saban put his pick in for the Blue Devils. Miss Terry Saban, the wife of Nick Saban, chose to pick the Tar Heels due to her friendship with Mack and Sally Brown, while Pat McAfee evened the score by siding with Duke.
Lee Corso and Kirk Herbstreit settled the tie, both picking the UNC football program to win this game.
It will be very interesting to see how North Carolina responds following last week's outing. When it comes to playing a rivalry game (such as this one verse Duke), there's no need for any additional motivation, given the team as a whole should be looking to bounce back with a strong performance to kick off ACC play.
While many fans have lost hope in the UNC football program, the ESPN College GameDay crew seems to still have some confidence in them.
