The recruitment of five-star guard Braylon Mullins is nearing an end.

As first reported by Joe Tipton of On3, Mullins will make his college decision on October 23. The Greenfield, Indiana native will choose between his three finalists: North Carolina, Indiana and UConn.

Based on what has been reported, it seems as if Mullins' recent visit to North Carolina went well. He broke down his visit with Jake Weingarten of Stock Risers and had this to say about the Tar Heels:

“It was good. I loved the campus and coaching staff. Coach Davis loves the way I fit into his offense. Also pitched that I can play and work for a starting spot as a freshman.”

While it won't be easy to beat the hometown team (Indiana) and defending national champions (UConn) in this recruiting battle, the UNC basketball program seems to be in a really good spot here. As his decision is now just a few weeks away, it will be interesting to see if Mullins' visit to Chapel Hill was enough to convince him to become a Tar Heel.

This is a big decision for both Mullins and the UNC basketball program, as the hope is that Hubert Davis and company will earn a commitment from one of their top recruiting targets before the month of October comes to a close.
