Deja Kelly has put together an outstanding career as a member of the UNC women's basketball program.

On Thursday night, the senior guard added to her already impressive resume, as she became just the 11th UNC women's basketball player ever to reach the 1,800 career points milestone.

Fittingly enough, Kelly reached the milestone at the free throw line, an area that she's really capitalized on during her time at North Carolina. Although it wasn't a typical Deja Kelly type scoring performance, the senior put herself in a prime position grab a spot among the top 10 scorers in UNC women's basketball history on Sunday afternoon.

Heading into North Carolina's final game of the 2023-2024 regular season (and what will be Kelly's 'Senior Day'), the San Antonio, Texas native will need just one point to break a tie with Chanel Wright for sole possession of tenth place on the all-time scoring list. With two points, Kelly will leapfrog Kathy Crawford on the list for ninth place, with eighth place (currently held by Nikki Teasley) not far out of reach (1,822 points).

Whether she elects to return to the UNC women's basketball program for a fifth season or not, it's safe to say that Deja Kelly has already solidified herself among the greats to ever put on the Carolina Blue uniform.

The hope is that Kelly has plenty more points on the way as North Carolina looks to make a deep postseason run this March.
