As soon as Coleman Hawkins announced that he would be entering his name in the transfer portal, the UNC basketball program was quickly identified as a potential suitor.

Given what the Tar Heels are looking for this offseason, Hawkins would be a perfect fit in terms of skillset, as he's a talented big man who can impact the game in a variety of ways. Of course, his main goal is to be selected in this year's NBA Draft, but if he does elect to return to the college route, expect North Carolina to be major players in his recruitment.

Of course, fans on social media try to convince players to attend their favorite schools, as Hawkins seems to be eating up the attention he's reaching from Tar Heel faithful.

It all started with this post, which features a jersey swap of Hawkins wearing both uniforms for the UNC basketball program.

Hawkins, having seen the post, responded with this:

That wasn't the end of it, as a fan, who lists Illinois as his alma mater in his bio, responded by saying that the shade of blue isn't a good look on Hawkins.

Hawkins had a great response to this tweet.

To add to this, Hawkins was also caught liking tweets from North Carolina Tar Heel fan accounts. This tweet that Hawkins liked came from @heelscentral, as he seems to be enjoying the love he's receiving as he ponders his future.

If Hawkins returns to the college ranks for his fifth and final season, expect Hubert Davis and the Tar Heels to make a major push to bring him to Chapel Hill. Adding a player like Hawkins could take this already talented group to the next level, as Hawkins can provide high-level experience and game-changing abilities that could make a huge impact.
