Hubert Davis and the UNC basketball program have been very active recruiting players from the Class of 2025, as another talented student athlete from this graduating class is now on their radar.

According to On3's Joe Tipton, North Carolina became one of the most recent programs to contact 7-foot big man Malachi Moreno. The Georgetown, Kentucky native currently ranks as the No. 28-ranked player in his graduating class as well as the top-ranked prospect coming out of his home state (according to 247Sports).

Although we'd all love for him to stay, Armando Bacot will wrap up his illustrious UNC basketball career in a few weeks, as the UNC basketball program looks for the next star big man to help fill the void. By 2025, Jalen Washington will be in his final season with the Tar Heels, while James Brown will be a sophomore, but other than that, the UNC basketball program doesn't have much big man depth beyond that at this point.

At this point, Iowa, Kentucky, Indiana, Baylor, Notre Dame and Arkansas seem to be the teams that are showing the most interest in Moreno. However, the Tar Heels, along with Kansas, could change that rather quickly, as both programs have reached out over the last week.

Moreno has received plenty of interest from teams around the country, as he currently holds over 20 scholarship offers. Could Hubert Davis and the UNC basketball program be the next one to offer this highly-touted big man as his recruitment starts to heat up?

Based on how his recruitment has gone so far, it wouldn't be a surprise to see more top-tier programs jumping into the mix for this four-star talent.
