The open recruiting period is up and running, as the UNC basketball program is doing their best to take a closer look at some of their top high school recruiting targets.

After spending Friday in Texas, Hubert Davis made his way to Indianapolis for day two of the Nike EYBL event.

Who were the Tar Heels focused on, you ask?

For starters, after assistant coach Jeff Lebo was on-hand to watch five-star guard Jasper Johnson on Friday night, Davis made a personal stop to see him in action on Saturday afternoon.

After taking a closer look at Johnson, three members of the UNC basketball program's coaching staff: Davis, Lebo and Brad Frederick, checked in on Jackson Keith and Team CP3.

The UNC basketball program has made Johnson a priority target, as the combo guard has already made an official visit to Chapel Hill back on February 2. For the Tar Heels, the hope is that Johnson, the No. 10-ranked player in the Class of 2025 (according to 247Sports) will continue the trend of Link Academy guards making their way to North Carolina, as current point guard Elliot Cadeau spent his last season of high school at the Missouri-based boarding school.

North Carolina has also been linked to Keith, an in-state product who has already taken an unofficial visit to campus. The Durham, North Carolina native isn't as highly regarded as Johnson in terms of prospect rankings (currently No. 71 on 247Sports' Top 100 rankings), but he has trended toward moving up the list when the updated rankings are released in about a month.

Needless to say, Hubert Davis and the UNC basketball program's coaching staff have been quite busy. Not only are they working to finalize next season's roster, but are looking ahead to find the players that best fit the program moving forward.
