Notre Dame's three-game winning streak was snapped with a loss to Syracuse, a game where the Fighting Irish dug themselves into a deep hole and almost dug out of it.
Their seven-game losing streak in conference play was a real dagger to their season, as it essentially knocked them out of contention. However, you have to give them credit for bouncing back a bit over the second half of the regular season.
