The UNC basketball program is set to begin its postseason journey, as the ACC Tournament and NCAA Tournament are looming for the Tar Heels.

North Carolina put together a tremendous regular season and look to build on that in postseason play. Based off their success during regular season play, the Tar Heels have put themselves in consideration to be a legitimate contender this March into potentially early April.

Of course, the UNC basketball program will need Armando Bacot and RJ Davis to be at the top of their games, and the same could be said about junior Harrison Ingram. However, the trio will need help, as these three players must be at the top of their games if the Tar Heels have any hopes of making a deep postseason run this season.

CR. player. . . . Cormac Ryan. Cormac Ryan. . 3. 441

When Cormac Ryan is knocking down his shots, this UNC basketball team is very difficult to beat.

Let's just take a look at the Tar Heels' three losses to Syracuse, Clemson and Georgia Tech. In those three games combined, Ryan knocked down just seven of his 25 attempts from three point range, as four of those came in the loss to the Orange.

North Carolina desperately needs Ryan to be consistent in shooting the basketball, as it adds a whole other dynamic to this offensive attack.

Look at the win over rival Duke to end the regular season. Ryan was on fire from the word go, finishing with a career-high 31 points (including six made three-pointers). If he can get hot, it will be scary to think what this offense can accomplish.

The UNC basketball program doesn't need him to score 30 a night. What they need is for him to contribute 10-16 points while being effective with his shots. They can't afford him to struggle from the floor, as it takes away an important aspect for the Tar Heels as they look to take some of the attention off of RJ Davis.
