The UNC football program picked up its second victory of the 2024 season last weekend against Charlotte.

Whatever the game plan was prior to Max Johnson's injury has been tossed out the window, and offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey built a new attack plan with Conner Harrell at the helm. At least the redshirt sophomore quarterback would have all-world running back Omarion Hampton to lean on.

Until he didn't. Hampton left the game with a knock (by all accounts, he could have played on if needed), but freshman Davion Gause's breakout game made him surplus to requirements.

Harrell has had a game to reflect on and study, so hopefully a game against FCS opponent North Carolina Central will do his confidence some good. Health is the name of the game here. North Carolina needs to win the game, of course, but it would be nice if the contest was decided by halftime, and Mack Brown could get a preview of a lot of subs.

Let's dive into our three predictions for the NC Central game, starting with Conner Harrell.
