What a way for Nyla Brooks to close out her high school basketball career!
The future Tar Heel put together an absolute show in the Jordan Brand Classic on Friday afternoon, a game which was held at CareFirst Arena in Washington, DC (which is nearby to her hometown of Alexandria, Virginia).
Brooks, a five-star talent, finished the game with 28 points, 10 rebounds, and two steals. Although her team suffered a loss in the event, there wasn't much more that the future UNC women's basketball player could do to help her team.

Fans of the UNC women's basketball program should be pumped about her upcoming arrival on campus. Brooks is a player who should immediately make an impact for the Tar Heels, as her high school basketball resume proves that she's more than prepared for the next level of competition.
An incredible high school career for Nyla Brooks came to an end on Friday, but an exciting new chapter is set to begin in Chapel Hill. Her arrival will be one of the most anticipated in recent memory, as she is the UNC women's basketball program's first McDonald's All-American selection since 2021.
One thing is for sure: Nyla Brooks won't be intimidated by the bright lights of playing at North Carolina. She's competed (and played alongside) some of the best talent in the country, and always seems to rise up to the occasion in the big-time moments that she faces.
The UNC women's basketball program got a really good one, as Nyla Brooks has the potential to be a future star in Chapel Hill for years to come.
