The country knows just how good Nyla Brooks is.
Brooks, a 2025 McDonald's All-American, earned the reputation as one of the top recruits in her graduating class. She's lived up to the hype throughout her high school career and is now ready to prove she's ready to play on the big stage of college basketball.
Ahead of the 2025-2026 season, Brooks has earned a spot on the Preseason ACC All-Freshman team.

Serving as North Carolina's first McDonald's All-American since Deja Kelly, Brooks has made quite the impact during her short time in Chapel Hill thus far. Courtney Banghart raves about her five-star freshman, always mentioning how she's willing to learn and comes into each practice and day looking to get better while doing whatever she can to help the team improve in the process.
A mature individual, Brooks looks to help this program take the next step, finding a way to make a deeper run come March.
