Momentum is building for this four-star talent in favor of the UNC football program ahead of his final decision.
North Carolina has earned another expert prediction for top-100 ranked talent CJ Sadler. The Detroit, Michigan native is set to make his official commitment on Friday, August 15, at 7:00 PM EST. Along with North Carolina, Sadler's other finalists include Colorado, Maryland, and Michigan.

After national analyst Steve Wiltfong placed his prediction for the Tar Heels about a month ago, Greg Smith of Rivals joined the party with his expert prediction.
A 5-foot-10, 185-pound athlete, Sadler is a guy who has the ability to impact the game on both sides of the football. During the 2024 season, Sadler earned MaxPreps Player of the Year honors in the state of Michigan, helping guide Cass Tech to a Division I state championship.
This is a guy who rarely leaves the field at the high school level. Offensively, Sadler has played both quarterback and wide receiver, serving as a "Wildcat" type of quarterback. He recorded 51 catches for 1,043 yards and 14 touchdowns as a receiver, and added five more scores through the use of his legs in the run game.
On defense, Sadler, working primarily at cornerback, has served as a lock-down defender on the outside. He recorded 55 tackles and four interceptions, making teams think twice about throwing the football his way.
Oh yeah, and this guy even returned at least one kickoff and punt return for a touchdown! He simply does it all!
One of the best athletes that the Class of 2026 has to offer is now nearing a final decision, one that is trending in favor of the UNC football program. While it's not official just yet, the hope is that the momentum continues to build leading up to Friday night's announcement, as he would become a major addition to an already loaded 2026 recruiting class.
