North Carolina earns a spot in the 2025 NCAA Tournament field

While there was plenty of doubt that the Tar Heels would earn a spot, they somehow found a way!

I just have one thing to say...

LET'S DANCE!

The UNC basketball program was doubted heavily leading up to the reveal of the 2025 NCAA Tournament bracket, but somehow, someway, the Tar Heels found their way into the field of teams.

North Carolina's spot in the Top 64 isn't yet settled, as they'll have to make a trip to Dayton to compete in a 11-seed play-in game, a trip they will certainly be happy to make.

Their opponent: San Diego State.

What we know at the moment is this: North Carolina and San Diego State will battle against each other on either Tuesday or Wednesday (we will have plenty to talk about over the next few days leading up to it). The winner of that game will take on Ole Miss on Friday as part of the Round of 64.

After a season of ups and downs, the UNC basketball program put together a strong run at the end of the regular season to even put themselves into this position. The committee didn't let their ugly record in Quad 1 games tell the whole tale, as the Tar Heels will have a chance to prove that they belong in the field by winning some more games.

At this point, that is all we can ask for!

As the weekend comes to a close, we can rest easy knowing that we still have some UNC basketball on the schedule this coming week. The hope is that this group can go on a run and extend the season even longer.

It's called March Madness for a reason. It's go time!
