There's no place like home, just ask the 2025-2026 UNC basketball team!

For the first time in program history, North Carolina has won 18 games at the Dean Smith Center in a single-season. While the program has had multiple seasons in which they went 17-0, they weren't able to secure an unbeaten record at home for an 18 game slate, until Tuesday night.

North Carolina helped its chances of earning a double bye in the upcoming ACC Tournament out in a big way, defeating the Clemson Tigers on 'Senior Night' in Chapel Hill.

A junior stole the show

On a night that was focused on the two graduating seniors (as well as RJ Davis, who was honored for his No. 4 jersey being added to the Dean Smith Center rafters), it was a junior who stole the spotlight.

Luka Bogavac put together his best shooting performance thus far as a Tar Heel, knocking down six three-pointers en route to an 20-point outing.

Fun fact: Bogavac is the first Tar Heel to make six three-pointers in a single game since... you guessed it!

RJ Davis!

Bogavac was on an absolute heater, as it felt like the ball was going in the basket every time he shot it.

The freshman comes up clutch

Up by two with under 50 seconds remaining in the game, Derek Dixon hit the biggest shot of the night.

The freshman guard confidently came off a Henri Veesaar screen, turned and fired a three-pointer, one that he would absolutely sink.

That shot proved to be the final dagger in this one, as Dixon once again showed he loves the big-time moments.

The right guy to start (and finish)

It's only fitting that senior Seth Trimble, playing in his final home game as a Tar Heel, made the first and last shots of the night.

Trimble, who didn't have his best night offensively (9 points on 2-10 shooting), drained a three to get North Carolina on the board early in the first half. With a three-point lead with .9 seconds to go, Trimble made the first of two free-throws, officially securing the victory (and the undefeated home record) for his team.

A guy like Trimble deserves to go out on a win, and to be able to seal the deal made it that much better.

What's next

We all know what's next: a rematch with rival Duke on Saturday night to close out the regular season.

A win gets the Tar Heels a double-bye in the ACC Tournament, but other scenarios can also provide them this luxury. Regardless, the goal in sight is to beat Duke again, a team who currently ranks as the top team in the land and is playing red-hot basketball.

North Carolina would love to play "spoilers" once again.
