The UNC women's basketball program made the cut, joining some elite company. Bjorn, a Riverside, Missouri native, is focusing on the following schools as her recruitment starts to heat up:
Duke
Iowa
Kansas
North Carolina
Notre Dame
Texas
UConn
Regarded as the No. 9-ranked overall player in the 2026 class by 247Sports, Bjorn would be another massive addition to a recruiting class that is already on the verge of being special. Courtney Banghart and the Tar Heels have already secured two commitments from this group, including one from fellow five-star Kate Harpring, arguably the best player that the Class of 2026 has to offer.
Add a commitment from Bjorn, and we could easily be talking about North Carolina having the best recruiting class in the entire country.
Banghart and her staff are no stranger to luring in top talent to Chapel Hill. Ever since arriving on campus, Banghart has done a tremendous job selling the program to potential recruits, as the Tar Heels ever-growing success on the court, teamed with the evident chemistry and bond that her players develop, are definitely enticing reasons for a student-athlete to continue their basketball careers in Chapel Hill.
The competition for Bjorn's services is steep, as some of the country's top programs are still very much involved. However, Banghart and her staff have shown the ability to compete with the nation's elite on the recruiting trail, putting themselves in a strong position to potentially add another five-star gem to their upcoming recruiting class.
