Noah Burnette is heading to South Bend, Indiana.

The former UNC football kicker has committed to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. He heads to Notre Dame with one season of college eligiblity remaining.

Burnette was productive during his UNC football career, scoring 285 career points. He connected on 79 percent of his field goal attempts during his tenure in Chapel Hill.

The 2023 season was by far Burnette's best season as a Tar Heel. He connected on 19 of his 20 field goal attempts, including connecting on all 43 of his extra-point tries. For his efforts, Burnette earned AP Second-Team All-ACC honors.

This past season, Burnette struggled a bit, missing six of his 21 attempts. He did connect on a career-best 52-yarder against Georgia Tech and had some bright moments during what ended up being his final season as a Tar Heel.

During the Marcus Freeman era, the Fighting Irish have relied on bringing in graduate transfers to handle their placekicking duties. Burnette keeps the tradition rolling, as he hopes that by this time next year, he'll be called upon to make some big-time kicks in the College Football Playoffs.

If he can be as close to automatic as he was during his junior season as a Tar Heel, Noah Burnette will be a tremendous addition for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
