With all the rumors and speculation surrounding the UNC football program, the best strategy to sort through all of it is this:

Don't jump to conclusions that everything is true, until multiple respected members of the media community start to confirm.

For starters, we probably owe Pablo Torre an apology for trolling him months ago when he seemed to be obsessed with Bill Belichick. Torre was onto something, and he keeps on giving some information that just keeps adding to this saga.

The latest news revealed from Torre revolved around general manager Michael Lombardi, who apparently made a trip to Saudi Arabia two weeks before the start of the 2025 season for what is being called an "exploratory fundraising trip."

This was confirmed by the university, as noted in a later post from Brendan Marks of The Athletic.

Basically, Dean Stoyer, the vice chancellor for communications at North Carolina, confirmed the trip, to gauge interest in whether the country’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) would be interested in investing in Tar Heels football. The trip was reportedly paid for by the Saudi government.

At this point, nothing (and we mean nothing) should be surprising when it comes to the UNC football program and its staff!

Lombardi is working so hard at raising funds for the UNC football program that he's making out-of-country trips to explore potential options! That right there is commitment!

Anyways, Torre teased that more information will be revealed on the latest episode of his podcast, "Pablo Torre Finds Out," which will be released on Friday, October 17.

Can't wait to hear what other crazy stories come about!
