Michael Jeffrey Jordan is coming to a television screen near you!

Jordan, the greatest basketball player of all time and a former UNC basketball player, will serve as a "special contributor" to NBC's coverage of the NBA this fall. It was confirmed on social media by the NBA on NBC official account.

The network broadcasted NBA games from 1990 to 2002, an incredible era of basketball to cover live. During that span, NBC was the home of the sport that Jordan and the Chicago Bulls dominated, a span in which the franchise put together two three-peats, earning six NBA titles.

Now, NBC is set to host NBA games once again, reaching an 11-year agreement with the league. When their coverage resumes, Jordan will be part of it, as it's only fitting that the G.O.A.T is featured on a network that had the honor of showcasing his historic career to the world.

In terms of qualifications, Jordan;'s career resume simply speaks for itself. While NBC is saying he will be a "special contributor," his role is still yet to be determined, as it will be interesting to see what NBC comes up with to have Jordan included in its future broadcasting plans.

While the NBA might not entice you to watch as much as it used to, seeing Jordan on television should definitely peak your interest. It will be fun to watch Jordan break down the game and talk about some of the biggest storylines of the sport in his new role.
