Tar Heel fans know how Marquise Williams bleeds Carolina Blue.
The former quarterback of the UNC football program has been very supportive of the program both during and after his college career. Often seen at home games, Williams' presence in Chapel Hill has become a norm for many Tar Heel fans, but, it appears that is set to change.
Williams shares a concerning social media post
On social media, Williams tweeted the below post, one that states he will not be attending any UNC football games this year.
I will not be attending any UNC football games this year! The things I’m hearing man I would have never thought💔

Why? Well, apparently, it is due to "things he is hearing" about the program.
What is going on?
For starters, we're going to need some more context here.
No one is doubting that Williams has heard (or is unhappy with) certain things about the UNC football program, but the social media post doesn't give much information other than the basic elements.
There could be a few varying factors that come into play here.
For starters, Williams might not be happy with the direction the program is heading during the Bill Belichick era. It's possible that he's heard rumblings of things that he doesn't tend to agree with, thus making him want to remove himself from the situation.
It could also be that Williams (along with other former Tar Heels) feels like an outsider with this new regime in place. Mack Brown was heavily invested in the family aspect of things, building the foundation for alumni to not only return to Chapel Hill but to be part of the process of helping the current team grow, bond, and succeed.
Belichick seems like a very open and friendly guy. We're sure he's doing the same! (Please note my sarcasm here).
What to make of this
The hope is that Williams will elaborate more on the situation so we know what is actually going on and why he feels the need to not support the program this season.
Williams must have his reasons for this, now it's up to him to "spill the tea" so we can all get a glimpse of the true situation at hand.
