MVP! MVP! MVP!

For his efforts during the 2025 ACC Tournament, UNC baseball star Luke Stevenson has been named the Most Valuable Player of the event.

As has been the case since he stepped foot on campus, Stevenson played a major role in the Diamond Heels' success throughout the tournament. He got off to a tremendous start, recording two hits, including a home run, in the Tar Heels' quarterfinal victory over Boston College.

In the semifinals against Florida State, Stevenson once again deposited a baseball into the seats.

Stevenson's blast put the Tar Heels up in the top half of the sixth and served as a huge momentum booster for the Diamond Heels in their quest for a ACC Tournament title game berth.

While he didn't record a hit in the championship game against Clemson, Stevenson found his way on base twice, scoring on both occasions. He was part of the Tar Heels offensive outburst, one that saw them score 14 runs to crush by the Tigers for the program's first ACC Tournament title since 2022.

The UNC baseball program has set itself up nicely ahead of the NCAA Tournament seedings on Monday, as they've made a strong case to earn one of the top overall seeds in the event. While the Tar Heels are rolling, a lot of their success is guided by the man behind the plate, as Stevenson showing why so many expect him to be the first catcher off the board in the upcoming MLB Draft.
