Luke Fickell should worry more about his job security and less about Bill Belichick

The Wisconsin head coach took an unnecessary jab toward Belichick during his press conference.

Luke Fickell's joke are just as good as his team's offense.

Both flat-out stink.

Following Wisconsin's second consecutive butt-whooping, Fickell was asked about a recent report that surfaced in regard to his program limiting NFL scout presence at weekly practices.

Instead of just answering the question, Fickell felt the need to take a dig at UNC football head coach Bill Belichick.

"No, we have NFL scouts there almost every single day. Maybe they can't watch the whole practice on a Wednesday, but my goodness, we don't even have much of a restriction.

We've got other things to worry about. I don't want to get into some Bill Belichick type of scouting situation."

Honestly, it's a bold strategy for a guy like Fickell, who hasn't really accomplished much as a head coach, to be taking shots at Belichick, a six-time Super Bowl champion (regardless of how the first few months of his UNC football tenure began).

Fickell should be more worried about his team (and his job security) rather than trying to deflect his program's dysfunction on others. The Badgers have been outscored 71-0 in each of the last two games (both at home), and have now lost five consecutive games. Three of those games were at home, as Wisconsin scored just 34 total points in that span.

It's not going to get much better this week as No. 6-ranked Oregon is set to be the next team to slap around Wisconsin this season.

Don't worry, Luke Fickell, there are no NFL scouts who want to watch your team. I guess that's probably the only thing we have in common at this rate.

Enjoy your last few weeks at Wisconsin. Your clock is ticking closer to the end of your short, disappointing tenure as the Badgets head coach.
