After watching Lexi Donarski compete for the UNC women's basketball program over the last two seasons, Tar Heel fans can attest that she is a professional-caliber player.

Now, Donarski will have her first opportunity to compete as a pro.

As announced by her agent, Jeanne McNulty-King, Donarski will play for the TFSE-MTA team in Budapest in the Hungary A-Division. The 23-year-old will now look to take her elite three-point shooting and defensive skills with her as she takes this next step in her basketball career.

After starting her college career at Iowa State, Courtney Banghart landed Donarski as a transfer, a move that was an impactful one. Over her two seasons in Chapel Hill, Donarski was a full-time starter, providing the Tar Heels with a much-needed scoring threat from beyond-the-arc while also serving as an elite defender, especially when assigned to lock down the opposing team's top scoring threat.

During the 2024-2025 season, Donarski started all 37 games she played in, leading the team with 86 three-pointers made. This mark also is the fifth-most in a single-season in UNC women's basketball history.

Donarski helped lead a veteran group to the Sweet 16, one that was headlined by a handful of transfers who have helped bolster North Carolina's roster. Her transfer recruiting class has made a major impact, as Donarski, along with Maria Gakdeng and Indya Nivar, have been major contrubutors since arriving on campus.

Players like Lexi Donarski are tough to find. Not many athletes are as tough or play the game with the high level of energy that Donarski possesses, as she truly is a versatile player who will do whatever it takes for her team to succeed.

Now, Donarski heads to the professional ranks, taking the first step in this journey.
