Fans of the UNC basketball program remember how Leaky Black was a player who can impact the game in a variety of ways.
Whether his team needs a scoring boost offensively or a stop on the defensive end, Black is a guy who will do whatever it takes to win.
On Wednesday night, Black put together a vintage type of performance in NBA Summer League action for the Washington Wizards.
As a starter, the former Tar Heel recorded a double-double, scoring 10 points while recording 11 rebounds over 33 minutes of action. His production didn't stop there, as he also added four blocks, four assists, and two steals to his stat line.
Wizards fall to the Jazz, 86-76, in their 4th Summer League game. They will play a TBD 5th game. Some standouts:

AJ Johnson - 25 pts (10-16 FG), 5 reb
Jamir Watkins - 13 pts (5-15 FG), 7 reb, 2 stl, blk
Dillon Jones - 12 pts (4-12 FG)
Leaky Black - 10 pts, 11 reb, 4 blk, 2 stl
Black was the lone starter to not have a negative plus-minus number when the final buzzer sounded, as the Wizards suffered a 86-76 loss to the Utah Jazz.
After gaining some NBA experience with the Charlotte Hornets during the 2023-2024 season, Black hasn't appeared in an NBA game since. That hasn't stopped the former Tar Heel from chasing his dreams, as he's been putting in the work in the G-League in hopes that an opportunity will present itself.
If he can put up more performances like the one he did on Wednesday night, there's a chance that an NBA squad will see the value of having him on their team.
Some guys are pure scorers. Others are capable defenders. Black is a little bit of everything, as his athleticism, size, and lockdown defensive ability making him an intriguing player to watch. The hope is that his efforts in NBA Summer League action lead to him earning at least a two-way deal with an NBA team for the upcoming season.
