When you're a young player looking to prove you belong, it's always a good sign to get a vote of confidence from teammates, especially when that particular teammate is one of the best that the sport has to offer.

That's exactly what happened for former UNC football standout Devontez 'Tez' Walker this week at Baltimore Ravens training camp.

Star quarterback Lamar Jackson was asked about the second-year wideout, citing that the two have good chemistry together even though there haven't been many reps together. Based on Jackson's comments, you could sense that he's hopeful that changes soon, as he believes Walker can help take this offensive unit to the next level.

It could be challenging to build chemistry when reps together aren't available in camp, but it appears that Walker has gone above and beyond to make some chemistry with Jackson. While his opportunities were limited during his rookie season, this built-up chemistry with Jackson could lead to some reps with the first-team unit, as you can never have enough reliable wide receiver targets to work with.

Jackson has played alongside some great players during his NFL career, and definitely has the capibility of identifying young talent when he sees it. Based on his comments, the star quarterback of the Baltimore Ravens seems has high hopes for what Walker can do on the football field, believing that it's only a matter of time before the duo connects to make special things happen through the passing game.

For now, it's up to Walker to continue grinding in training camp, earning his reps both in practice and in preseason action. Additionally, it doesn't hurt to continue building a rapport with his quarterbacks, as that created chemistry will ultimately help him thrive in the long run.
