Kevin Keatts voices frustration with officials following loss to North Carolina

The NC State head coach was not very happy with what occurred on the final play of the game on Saturday afternoon.

During the final seconds of the UNC basketball program's victory over NC State, Jalen Washington rejected a shot to seal the victory.

By now, you've probably seen the replay, but here it is again for ya:

The Wolfpack believed that it was goaltending but the referees didn't share that view, calling it a clean block by the Tar Heels' big man. North Carolina escaped with a win while NC State believed they were robbed on their own court.

Following the game, Keatts spoke to the media and voiced his frustration with the officiating crew over the call:

"I'm going to get this out of the way, I was disappointed that they didn't even at least review the last play. We had at least 3-4 goaltending calls during the game so to not even review it was disappointing to me."

I guess Keatts is unaware that they can't review that play. If it was originally called a goaltend, the officials can elect to go to the monitor. Given that it wasn't ruled goaltending on the floor, there's nothing to challenge or review.

Additionally, Keatts must have not seen a replay of the video, cause his team got away with a blatant travel on the inbounds play.

Our old friend Dontrez Styles thought he was doing the Cha Cha Slide during the inbounds play.

"Slide to the right... slide to the right... slide to the right... slide to the left.. shuffle the feet...INBOUND THE BALL!

I get why he's frustrated: his team just lost a nail-biting game to a team that they consider a rival. While it doesn't feel like a mutual "rival," it's still a game that brings out the energy and intensity on both sides, as NC State feels like that call should've gone their way.

Unfortunately for them (and fortunately for the UNC basketball program) it didn't.

While we're talking about referees, is there any way we can keep Kevin Keatts from spending half the game on the court?!
