Karma catches up to NC State and Will Wade without UNC lifting a finger

The Wolfpack's season is over thanks to Texas - what a shame

It turns out Feb. 17 was the highlight of the season for the NC State Wolfpack - hey, good for them. That night, Will Wade and Co. took down Hubert Davis and North Carolina 82-58, with both Henri Veesaar and Caleb Wilson injured and not on the floor.

The moment Caleb Wilson got the news that every Tar Heel dreams of

It was going to set the tone for NC State to play electric the rest of the way and go on a deep run in the NCAA Tournament, right? Wrong. On Tuesday night, Wade's season came to an end after losing to Texas in a First Four game. What a shame.

UNC fans can celebrate NC State's NCAA Tournament ending before it could get started

We're not one to gloat, but come on, after all the trash talk delivered by the Wolfpack, it's hard not to laugh a little. Give credit to Texas, as Sean Miller and his playmakers were able to get the job done late and stun NC State with everyone watching.

After the Wolfpack beat the Heels, they indeed were talking a ton of smack, even trolling Wilson and his belt celebration. Remember when Qadir Copeland told Wilson to play next time? He did so knowing UNC's freshman sensation had a broken bone in his hand. Come on, dude.

As for Wade, he took multiple shots at Davis in recent months. Him going after HD for how much he played Ven-Allen Lubin made countless headlines, basically calling the Heels out for not playing the talented big man more than 28 minutes per contest (he averaged 15 points and eight rebounds when he did).

In the loss to Texas, VAL only played 22 minutes, scoring six points and adding five rebounds before fouling out. Interesting. Soon enough, the Tar Heels will take on VCU and we might end up eating all of our words if the Rams pull off an upset against UNC that so many people are predicting. For now, though, sit back and know that NC State is wiped off your bracket. That's karma too if you ask us.
