On Wednesday, the 2025 Werner Ladder Naismith Women’s College Coach of the Year Watch List was revealed.
There's quite a big problem with this list: Courtney Banghart is no where to be found.

I will say it for all of us: there is NO way you can tell us that 15 women's college basketball coaches have done a better job this season than Courtney Banghart.
The UNC women's basketball program is in the midst of an outstanding season, currently holding a 23-4 record. They've been extremely impressive on the road, holding a 7-0 record in true road games while having a 4-1 record in neutral site games.
From winning the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament to knocking off previously ranked No. 10 NC State in a game in which Alyssa Ustby, the team's leader in most statistical categories, was limited to just three minutes of action due to injury.
We won't mention names, but Banghart and the Tar Heels beat two teams whose coaches earned spots on this list...
Make it make sense!
Banghart has been one of the country's top rising coaches for quite some time now. It's past due for her to get the respect she deserves. What she has done, and continues to do, with the UNC women's basketball program is simply outstanding, as Banghart has the Tar Heels in a position to be national contenders for years to come.
All we're asking is for everyone to put some respect on her name. She more than deserves it.
