After his outstanding performance in the Tar Heels' exhibition opener against USC, fans were excited to see what Isaiah Denis could do in his encore presentation.
Unfortunately, that won't be happening on Sunday afternoon.
Just before the start of UNC's exhibition game against Indiana, it was announced that Denis will not play due to injury. He is currently being listed as "day-to-day."
Tar Heel sophomore Isaiah Denis is not in uniform and will not play in today’s exhibition vs. Indiana.

Isaiah Denis' injury brings a major conern for UNC
Denis has taken that next step in his development and is ready to be a major contributor for this year's team. However, this injury news is concerning, as the hope is that the program is being extra careful with him with the regular season just a few weeks away.
It appears that the injury is a lower-body one that was suffered in practice. We likely won't hear another update until after the game when Michael Malone speaks to the media.
In his absence, expect to see more of Angelo Brizzi and Jaydon Young in the backcourt. While it would've been nice to have had Denis available for this exhibition game, it will provide other guys with an opportunity to get an extended look.
