With the UNC basketball program having a week off due to the holiday season, the break served as a perfect opportunity for Hubert Davis to get out on the recruiting trail.

Davis didn't have to go very far for his destination, as the annual John Wall Holiday Invitational is being held this weekend in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Which recruits did Hubert Davis show up for?

The good news for Davis was that the two main recruiting targets on the UNC basketball program's radar are on the same team.

Following his unofficial visit to North Carolina, top-ranked five-star talent CJ Rosser was in action at the event. He, along with Obinna Ekezie Jr, a fellow Class of 2027 standout who has also earned an offer from the Tar Heels, man the front court together for Southeastern Prep

While he doesn't hold an offer from North Carolina up to this point, the Tar Heels have also been keeping their eye on another Southeastern Prep standout, Beckham Black, a 2027 guard.

How did the trio fare?

Rosser struggled offensively, but still found ways to impact the game in a variety of ways. He finished the night with eight points, six rebounds, two blocks and an assist, and was honored prior to the start of the game for recording his 1,000th career point.

Ekezie returned from injury after missing a significant amount of time, and it was evident that Southeastern Prep is still trying to get him back into game shape. He contributed three points and three blocks in his team's victory over Davidson Day.

Black was easily the top performer of the three, scoring 12 second-half points to end the night with 14 points on an efficient 5 of 6 shooting. He also contributed six assists and two rebounds in the win.

Davis wasn't alone

The head coach of the Tar Heels wasn't the only coach in attendance. In fact, he wasn't even the lone in-state coach to make the trip to Raleigh.

Will Wade was in attendance (which isn't surprising given the event in Raleigh, and Jon Scheyer also took in the action as he identifies 2027 targets for his Duke recruiting class.

UNC could entice both 2027 big men

For Rosser, seeing first-hand how the Tar Heels utilize Caleb Wilson must be extremely enticing, considering he has the skill set to play a similar role if he does end up in Chapel Hill. He could convince Ekezie to follow his lead to North Carolina, building upon their already brewing chemistry that should be at an elite level by the time they reach the college ranks.
