North Carolina's victory in the quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament on Thursday afternoon was a big one for many reasons.

Obviously, the UNC basketball program needed to win the game with their NCAA Tournament hopes still on the line, but it also marked a milestone victory in the head coaching career of Hubert Davis.

With the win, Davis now has 100 career head coaching victories under his belt. It took Davis 143 games to reach the mark, making him the third-fastest coach in UNC basketball program history to accomplish the feat:

Fastest to 100 career wins with the UNC basketball program:

Roy Williams- 129 Games
Frank McGuire- 139 Games
Hubert Davis- 143 Games

Not only is Davis now included with some impressive UNC basketball company, he also became the first head coach in program history to lead his team to 20+ win seasons in each of his first four seasons at the helm.

Davis has earned a ton of scrutiny in his short tenure at the helm. It's been quite the rollar coaster for the program, considering they went to the Final Four in his first season, missed the NCAA Tournament completely in his second, won the ACC regular season crowd and advanced to the Sweet 16 in year three and are now battling for their NCAA Tournament hopes in year four.

While the results haven't been as consistent as we all would hope, Davis has done a solid job of racking up victories. North Carolina (and its fan base) hopes that Davis can be the guy that brings the UNC basketball program back to being an elite team on a yearly basis.
