The NBA G League Elite Camp is underway, as over 40 players are competing to earn one of the limited spots for the upcoming NBA Draft Combine in Chicago.

Former UNC basketball star RJ Davis got off to a solid start in his first of two games as part of this camp.

Davis, a starter for Team One, scored 14 points in just under 22 minutes of action, helping guide his team to an 89-85 victory. He connected on five of his 9 shot attempts from the floor, including four of his five from the free throw line. To add to his scoring output, Davis also contributed two assists and two rebounds.

Davis' team has some familiar names on it, as both Jaland Lowe (Pittsburgh) and Norchad Omier (formerly at Miami before transferring to Baylor for his final collegiate season) both came off the benh for Team One.

In terms of plus/minus (a stat that measures a team's point differential when a player is on the court compared to when they are not), the starters for Team One were outplayed by the reserve unit. Davis tied for a team-low -11, but he wasn't alone, as the starters were a combined -40 in the game.

Davis and Team One will have one more game this weekend as they'll match up with Team Four on Sunday night. Of course, as we all expected, Davis will be matched up against former UNC basketball teammate Caleb Love, a member of Team Four.

Honestly, they really should televise it for Tar Heel fans to watch!
