Gio Lopez throwing shade at UNC and Bill Belichick misses all the key points

Can this dude just stop yapping and move on?

In typical Gio Lopez fashion, he once again missed his mark.

Lopez was a highly-priced addition to Bill Belichick's first roster at North Carolina and proved to be a waste of $2 million, as he was without a doubt one of (if not the) worst quarterbacks in the entire country.

Now, Lopez has transferred to Wake Forest, but still has North Carolina on his mind.

Gio Lopez misses the mark in his effort to trash UNC

Instead of focusing on actually getting better at the sport of football (while preparing for the new season with his new team), Lopez, and his father, felt the need to throw some shade North Carolina's way.

Do we care about what either thinks? No. However, it's rather comical to see what garbage they've been spewing.

Did Lopez forget that he was being paid MILLIONS to play football at the University of North Carolina? Apparently, football isn't fun in Chapel Hill!

“Back at the other school (North Carolina), it felt like there's no air. Here (Wake Forest), it’s fun again. They’re moving us in the right direction, energized, and guys are enjoying football. It’s like fresh air. I’d never had to respond to tough situations like that on that loud of a scale.”

Oh man, I guess Belichick and his staff didn't give the players ice cream after each practice and game!

Playing any sport at the Division I level is like a job. You are on the brink of professional status, and quite frankly, NIL has catapulted players to more of that realm.

For Lopez, he didn't appreciate how football felt like work!

“It was more like work,” Lopez said. “After that first game, it felt like getting through the day. You don’t want to live like that, where you’re up at night thinking about the next day.”

To add to it, Lopez's father, Barney, jumped in to fight his son's battles, claiming how his son was ridiculed if he didn't do what he was told.

“You were ridiculed if you didn’t do it exactly the way he was told,” Barney Lopez said. “You could be at the dang line, see the play is about to be blown up, but if you try to call it off or audible, you were ridiculed.”

Oh, I'm sorry. Last time I checked, in the real world, if your boss tells you to do something, you do it. If you don't, you are subject to being reprimanded.

If getting told what to do is something Lopez can't handle, good luck when he actually has to go into the job force in the near future.

Are we claiming that Bill Belichick is perfect? Absolutely not.

Do we acknowledge that UNC's offense (and play calling) was putrid under Freddie Kitchens? Without a doubt.

However, the players are the ones on the field making it happen. In Lopez's case, this dude couldn't even connect on screen passes, but feels the need to throw some deep shots in North Carolina's direction.

Word of advice to Gio Lopez and his family. Move on, and maybe, just maybe, try to take some accountability for how you robbed the university of millions of dollars.

We bet you weren't complaining when you collected your NIL money (which, in all honesty, should've been refunded for how bad he was as North Carolina's starting quarterback).
