2025 Season

Conference: 0-2

Away: 0-1
Neutral: 0-0
Last Week: Like the UNC football program, Clemson did not play last weekend. Two weekends ago, on September 20, the Tigers suffered a 34-21 loss to Syracuse.
Key Players
Cade Klubnik- Quarterback
While he hasn't performed as well as Clemson had hoped up to this point, Klubnik is still an experienced quarterback who has the ability to lead the Tigers on scoring drives at any given point.
Through four games, the senior has recorded 996 yards and six touchdowns through the air, as Clemson needs its veteran leader to be at the top of his game if they have any desire of turning this season around.
Bryant Wesco Jr.- Wide Receiver
If Cade Klubnik is throwing the football, it's very likely that Bryant Wesco Jr. is the target of that intended pass.
After a breakout freshman season a year ago, Wesco Jr. has picked up right where he left off. Of Klubnik's six touchdown throws, five of them have been to his sophomore wide receiver, as he also leads the team in receptions (24) and yards (389).
Look for Thaddeus Dixon to be shadowing Wesco Jr. wherever he goes on the field on Saturday afternoon.
Wade Woodaz- Linebacker
The senior linebacker from Tampa, Florida has been a tackling machine, recording 35 tackles in just four games played this season. He's had two games in which he recorded double-digit tackles, as he is certainly going to be in the mix a lot when the Tigers take the field on Saturday afternoon at Kenan Stadium.
Peter Woods- Defensive Tackle
Projected as a first round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft class, Woods is a guy the Tar Heels must keep an eye on at all times.
Woods has been heating up the pressure as of late, having four quarterback pressures over his previous two games. If Woods continues the trend, it will be a long day for whoever gets the start at quarterback for the UNC football program.
Area of Strength
While the Tigers have struggled, their defensive unit features a handful of top-tier talent that could cause problems for North Carolina's inefficient offensive attack.
Sure, the numbers (and record) indicate that the defense hasn't been very good for the Tigers. However, you have to also account for the fact that the offense has been inconsistent at best, leaving the defense tasked with being on the field too long.
Area of Weakness
Offensive consistency has been a major issue for Clemson, and it starts with Cade Klubnik.
The Tigers need their veteran leader, the reigning ACC Preseason Player of the Year, to play up to his potential. If he doesn't, Clemson will face the same issues they've had as conference play heats up over the next few weeks.
