The Super Regionals are set to begin this weekend in Chapel Hill, as the UNC baseball program will welcome in the Arizona Wildcats for a best of three series at Boshamer Stadium. A trip to Omaha is on the line, as the winner will be making the trip that both teams have been vying for all season long.
Both teams found ways to secure their respective regional title, advancing to this stage of the NCAA Tournament. However, their paths to get here were rather different, as North Carolina was certainly battle-tested in the Chapel Hill Regional.
Ahead of the start of the series on Friday, let's take a look at the important information to know about the Arizona Wildcats.

Meet the Manager
Chip Hale
A former Arizona Wildcat player, Hale won an NCAA National Championship during his collegiate career. Hale ranks as the program's all-time leader in games played, hits, and total bases.
Before returning to Tuscon, Hale accumulated 15 years of coaching at the Major League level. In 2019, Hale was on the coaching staff that helped guide the Washington Nationals to their first World Series title in franchise history.
Here's a breakdown of Hale's time thus far at Arizona, courtesy of his bio on the Wildcats roster page:
"Hale, the 2024 Pac-12 Coach of the Year, has found tremendous success in his first three seasons at the helm in Tucson. As a proud alumni he has led the program to three consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances, the 2024 Pac-12 regular season and tournament championships, and over 100 wins. After winning Pac-12 Coach of the Year in his third season he became the first person in Pac-12 baseball history to win both Pac-12 Player of the Year (1987) and Pac-12 Coach of the Year (2024). Along the way Hale has produced two first round MLB Draft selections, four All-Americans, 13 Pac-12 All-Conference honorees, the second Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year in program history, and much more. Under Hale's direction, Arizona was one of only four college programs in the nation, and the only school on the west coast, with first round MLB Draft selections in both 2022 and 2023. He is only the second head coach in program history to earn NCAA Tournament bids in each of his first three seasons."
Key Players
If you're looking for the heart of the Arizona Wildcats' roster, look no farther than infielder Mason White.
As good as White has been throughout his three seasons in Tuscon, 2025 is arguably his best season thus far. In 60 games played, White is hitting .336 with 19 home runs to go along with 70 RBIs, as over half of his 80 hits have gone for extra bases.
This guy does it all, and the UNC baseball program must find a way to keep him from making major damage with the bat.
A transfer from Samford, Walton fit in immediately with his new squad this season. He ranks second on the team with a .321 batting average, clubbing 14 home runs while driving in 48 runs. While Tar Heel fans saw Kane Kepley get hit by pitches at an elite level, Walton is cut from the same cloth, collecting 22 hit by pitches this season.
This guy can also fly on the base paths, coming in with 18 stolen bases thus far this season.
A sophomore right-hander, Owen Kramkowski is likely the guy you'll see on the mound to start the Super Regionals on Friday afternoon.
After being limited to just three appearances out of the bullpen as a freshman, Kramkowski has become a workhorse for the Wildcats pitching staff. His 16 starts are tied for the team lead while his 85.2 innings of work puts him at the top of the team's innings pitched list this season.
