With fall practices officially underway, fans won't have to wait much longer to see their first glimpse of the 2025-2026 UNC basketball team.
The details for the 2025 Blue-White Scrimmage have been revealed. This year's version will be played on October 4, an hour after the UNC football program's ACC opener against Clemson.

With the football game starting at noon, you could probably expect a start time for the scrimmage to occur after the 4:00 PM EST hour. Admission for the scrimmage will be free, as fans can elect to purchase a one-item postgame autograph session with reserved seating for $150.
Featuring a roster that looks completely different from a season ago, the jury is still out as to what this UNC basketball squad can be. What we do know is this: the roster features a lot more size than the one a season ago did, as there are still high expectations for the Tar Heels (as there essentially is every season in Chapel Hill).
Fans will not only get to see five-star talent Caleb Wilson in action, but a slew of other notable transfers and freshmen additions. The hope is that the Tar Heels go through this scrimmage without any major injuries, as last year fans held their breath as reigning ACC Player of the Year RJ Davis suffered an injury on a nasty fall while driving to the basket.
If you're going to support the UNC football program when they battle Clemson, make sure you leave some time to check out the UNC basketball program shortly after. The hope is that the football team can secure a win while the basketball program shows potential for the upcoming 2025-2026 season.
