Former UNC football standout Devontez 'Tez' Walker scores his first NFL touchdown
Devontez 'Tez' Walker's first NFL catch is quite a special one.
In the Baltimore Ravens' game against the New York Giants on Sunday afternoon, Walker made his first NFL reception, one that resulted in a touchdown.
On third and one, Lamar Jackson found a wide-open Walker in the end zone for a 21-yard score. The touchdown put the Ravens up 28-7.
Walker is no stranger to the end zone, as he scored 18 touchdowns over his final two collegiate seasons. He connected with Drake Maye for seven of those before departing for the NFL following his lone season in Chapel Hill.
While he hasn't been utilized in the Ravens offense up to this point, making plays like the one he made on Sunday afternoon will certainly go a long way in helping him earn more trust from his star quarterback.
It's great to see the former UNC football standout getting an opportunity to make plays in the NFL. Hopefully, there's plenty of more catches (and touchdown receptions) in Tez Walker's future.
