Former Tar Heel JJ Jones calling for a quarterback change for North Carolina

Could it be any worse than what we've seen thus far?

Gio Lopez has started his UNC football career on a pretty bad note, struggling through his first 3+ games.

On Saturday, the trend continued through the first quarter of action, one in which Lopez threw two interceptions on one possession.

Fortunately, the first was wiped away due to a UCF penalty, but just two plays later, a tipped pass at the line of scrimmage resulted in a change of possession the other way.

JJ Jones, one of the UNC football program's leading receivers during his time in Chapel Hill, took to social media to voice his opinion on the team's quarterback situation.

Jones called for the Tar Heels to put his former teammate, Max Johnson, in the game. Johnson appeared in the UNC football program's season opener, relieving Lopez following an injury he suffered in the third quarter of the contest.

With the way Lopez has been performing, it wouldn't be surprising to see Johnson earn another opportunity. Jones is simply speaking for a good portion of the fan base who want to see the same thing occur.
