Saturday ended up being pretty dang special for North Carolina and Henri Veesaar, as the big man was able to return after missing the last two games. So, now that Veesaar is back, when can Hubert Davis and Co. expect freshman Caleb Wilson to get back on the hardwood?

ESPN ranking proves Caleb Wilson's injury cost him any chance at Freshman of the Year

That remains up in the air, as the youngster is still dealing with a broken bone in his left hand, which has sidelined him since the Miami game. In the middle of the UNC vs. Syracuse matchup, though, the broadcast team gave an important update, stating Wilson will undergo more imaging on his hurt hand next week. After that, UNC will get a better idea of when the standout could make his awaited return.

Caleb Wilson injury update: UNC star will undergo further testing next week

For now, Wilson's status has not changed. With that said, depending on how things go once he goes further testing, it will either provide good or bad news for Davis. The best-case scenario in our opinion would be that Wilson is back for the start of the ACC Tournament.

The worst-case scenario is that his dream season with North Carolina will come to a close. However, let's not even think about that for now. Wilson has passionately said he's going to fight to come back this year and that's what everyone is staying optimistic for.

The fact that Wilson continues to fire off shots before games for North Carolina is quite impressive, as this was once again the case leading up to the Syracuse contest. The Heels were in a close battle with the Orange, but pulled away in the second half. Getting Veesaar back suited up obviously made a huge difference, with the Arizona transfer finishing with a team-high 19 points.

Come Monday night, Louisville will be in Chapel Hill, but Wilson won't play. Despite that, some good news on the 5-star frosh could be on the way sooner rather than later. Keep your fingers crossed for some good luck, Tar Heels fans.
