Just when we thought the butt-whooping that Clemson was giving to North Carolina was bad enough, ESPN couldn't resist adding to the torture!

During the first half, one in which the Tigers were clearly dominating, the broadcast showed an interview with a current student at the University of North Carolina. The interview clip is only 13 seconds long, but shows just how down bad the UNC football program is making its students.

The student admitted that the TCU beat down on opening night was "one of the saddest feelings she's had at the university," and even went to an extent to compare it to failing midterms!

I mean, it goes to show just how heavily invested most students are in athletics, especially with regard to the UNC football program.

The hype was overbuilt leading up to the 2025 season, largely in part due to Bill Belichick's arrival on campus. However, the hype has turned to a nightmare, as we're reached a point where fans are leaving the games in the second quarter due to the embarrassing product that has been taking the field.

Fans of the UNC football program are simply down bad. Maybe the student from the interview should spend more time studying for her upcoming midterms so she doesn't have to feel disappointment on the academic side of things.

We can't guarantee that the UNC football program will provide any happiness anytime soon.
