Drake Maye let the world know on Sunday night what all of Tar Heel Nation already knows:
He is a SUPERSTAR!
The former UNC football star quarterback out dueled reigning NFL MVP Josh Allen on prime time, leading the New England Patriots to an upset victory over the previously unbeaten Buffalo Bills.
Maye was simply a walking highlight reel throughout the game, making insane throws like the one featured in the clip below:

When the pressure was on in the second half, Maye was at his best. Playing in front of one of the most hostile environments in all of football, the former Tar Heel wasn't fazed one bit, connecting on 13 of his 14 passing attempts for 184 yards, including three throws that were graded by Pro Football Focus as "Big Time Throws."

After Buffalo tied the game up at 20, the pressure was on for New England to drive down the field and regain the lead. With just about 2:12 remaining on the clock, Maye somehow completed a pass that will certainly be featured in all his future highlight reels.

How he completed the pass before he was knocked to the ground is still a very valid question to ask, but hey, we all know that Maye can be a magician with the football in his hands!
Maye and the Patriots marched down the field, getting into field goal range. A 52-yarder with 20 seconds remaining proved to be the difference, marking a huge victory not only for New England, but on the career of their young franchise quarterback.

Remember when the Chicago Bears front office essentially laughed at Maye's college film, not even taking him into consideration with the No. 1 overall pick in last year's draft? Well, Maye is certainly making them eat their words now, as the New England Patriots let the world know that they have a young franchise quarterback, a star that continues to rise, to lead their offensive attack for years to come.
Look out NFL, here comes Drake Maye!
