Now that former UNC playmaker Caleb Wilson has joined the Chicago Bulls, everyone is counting down the days for him to make his regular season debut and put on a show. Leading up to that, Wilson is on his grind in offseason workouts, and it only helps him out that there's a Chicago legend ready to take him under his wing.

Angelo Brizzi committing to UNC can't be overlooked by fans even for a second

That'd be Derrick Rose, who will never need an introduction in the city. Rose had his jersey hung up in the rafters by the Bulls in January, and his love for the organization will never fade. That much was confirmed once again recently, as Rose was spotted at the Bulls facility working out with the players. This included him giving Wilson some tips on the hardwood, which we don't have to tell you is pretty dang great. It's also something Wilson isn't taking for granted either:

Imagine how this must feel for Wilson as well. He has made the move to a new city, with an incredible amount of pressure being put on his shoulders. However, he's got someone like Rose backing him, ready to guide him and help out in any way that he can. We don't care how good of a player is: when a person of Rose's caliber steps in like this, it's got to be an incredible feeling for Wilson.

Rose, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2008 NBA Draft, spent the first seven seasons of his career with the Bulls before hopping around the league a bit. After saying goodbye to The Windy City, the stud guard suited up for the Timberwolves, Pistons, Knicks and Grizzlies.

Despite the end of his career not going to plan, he's an icon in Chicago, winning over the fanbase from the moment he made his debut with the team. Looking ahead to present time, that's what's expected of Wilson, who knows what it takes to captivate a large group of people with the ball in his hands.

We all saw that in Chapel Hill last year, as Wilson was a joy to watch, and the community embraced him with open arms. Seeing him say goodbye to campus was borderline heartbreaking, but moving forward everyone back in Carolina will be rooting him on for this next exciting chapter of his life. A lot of people will be ready to buy his Bulls jersey too.

Soon enough, Wilson, fully recovered from his thumb injury, will take the hardwood at The United Center, where he'll have everyone ready to watch him live up to the hype. Knowing Rose is in his corner is no question an incredible feeling for him as well, as other than Michael Jordan, there's arguably no one better to help him get ready for what's sure to be an outstanding 2026-27 season in Chicago. The expectations are high, but Wilson is fired up to deliver here.
