Let's face it: most of us try our best to live in the present. While some of us (myself included) can't predict what we'll be doing tomorrow, college basketball coaches across the country not only have to live in the present moment, but must be mindful of the future as well.

Courtney Banghart does a fantastic job of juggling it all, as her latest offer was extended to a player that won't be on a college campus for quite some time.

The Tar Heels have officially extended an offer to Carib Morris, a 6-foot-2 guard. Don't even bother looking up her ranking, as her class has yet to even be considered for national rankings yet.

Yes, Morris is a Class of 2029 product, meaning... she's just about to enter high school this fall!

That didn't stop her from gaining some varsity experience as an eighth grader, as she earned playing time for Cresset Christian Academy. It's safe to say that she'll be playing a ton of minutes for the program over the next few seasons.

Morris is already considered to be one of the top prospects that this class has to offer, something that is expected to remain true as this recruiting class starts to take more shape over the next few years. North Carolina isn't alone in the mix already, as Kentucky, Memphis and Missouri have all recently extended offers her way.

Don't get fooled: this is a common type of practice for college basketball programs. Coaches look to identify future targets before the curve, building a relationship with the student-athlete that helps set them apart from the rest of the pack.

If you're looking for a recent UNC women's basketball example, look no further than Lanie Grant, who was extended an offer and committed to North Carolina early in her high school career (ultimately leading to her re-classifying to join the Tar Heels a year early).

For now, you can add a "Class of 2029" column on your recruiting chart, as Carib Morris becomes the first player that Tar Heel fans should keep an eye on from this graduating class.
