Naithan George has received a lot of interest since he entered his name in the transfer portal on March 25.
The former Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket had a wide range of suitors in the mix, including the UNC basketball program.
Georgia Tech transfer Naithan George has been contacted by Arizona State, Georgia, Gonzaga, Louisville, UNC, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Stanford, Syracuse, Texas, and other programs since entering the portal, a source tells @247Sports.

Brandon Jenkins of 247Sports reported that North Carolina has been in contact with George. While Jenkins mentioned 9 programs specifically, there are more teams that have at least thrown their school into the mix.
George is a 6-foot-3, 185-pound guard from Toronto, Ontario. A two-year starter for Georgia Tech, George saw his numbers essentially increase across the board, as he's coming off a season in which he averaged 12.3 points, 6.5 assists, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.1 steals per-game.
A guy who can find ways to put the ball in the basket, George put together a stretch of four consecutive games in which he scored 20 or more points, including 28 points in a triple-overtime victory over Clemson along with a 26-point outburst in an overtime victory over Cal.
George would make a ton of sense for what the UNC basketball program is looking to achieve this offseason. He possesses good size for a player at his position, can score the basketball at a high level and also can be an above-average facilitator as well.
Combine that with him having ACC experience and two years of eligibility remaining: sounds to me like this could be a great fit for North Carolina.
The Tar Heels have been linked to many players in the transfer portal, but it seems like their interest in Naithan George is legitimate. While some question what the Tar Heels are waiting for as some of the top guard in the transfer portal have come off the board, maybe it's safe to say that Jim Tanner, Hubert Davis and North Carolina have their eyes set on a certain player (or players).
Maybe Naithan George happens to be one of those guys.
