Coby White put together an insane performance to lead the Chicago Bulls to a victory over the Orlando Magic on Thursday night.

The former UNC basketball standout scored a career-high 44 points while connecting on seven three-point attempts. Of his 44 points, 17 came in the final quarter of play, a huge boost in helping his team secure the victory.

Oh, and he threw one down on Paolo Banchero (fitting given what is happening in Chapel Hill this weekend!)

White has been on an absolute scoring tear over the Bulls' previous four games. The former Tar Heel has scored at least 24 points in each of those contests, as his 44-point outburst on Thursday night is another example of just how elite of a scorer he can be.

The scary thing is: White is only 25-years-old!

Coby White has fully embraced being a full-time NBA starter, as evident by his production last season and currently through this season. While the Bulls organization is still trying to figure out how to get back to winning ways, it's a good bet to say that White is a big part of their future plans, as he's a player that the franchise can build around for years to come.

While we're all thrilled for White as he continues to thrive at the NBA level, there's always that thought of just how good he would've been if he stayed with the UNC basketball program for at least another season. He was outstanding in his freshman season, imagine just how good he would've been during his sophomore campaign with a full year of college experience under his belt!

I don't know about you, but I would've loved to have seen it happen.
