Clemson adds to the nightmarish start to the Bill Belichick era in Chapel Hill

There was literally no doubt on who was going to win Saturday's contest between Clemson and North Carolina.

There's only way to describe Saturday's game between the Clemson Tigers and North Carolina Tar Heels:

An absolute BUTT WHOOPING!

Clemson had their foot on the gas from the onset, rolling to a comfortable victory over the UNC football program.

It literally took Clemson one offensive play to score a touchdown, capitalizing on a trick play pass that went 75-yards down the field for six. North Carolina responded with a field goal on its opening possession but it was far from enough, as Clemson rolled to 28 points in the first quarter, which sealed the deal before the two teams even went into the locker rooms for halftime.

In just four plays, Clemson drove 150 yards and scored two touchdowns. The North Carolina defense had no answers, as it seemed like an open lane was magically available for the Tigers skill players to just ease their way down the field.

Following a "bye week," the UNC football program looked unprepared and disconnected. From miscommunications on both sides of the ball to boneheaded mistakes and penalties, this is a group that looks like it doesn't belong, a unit that lacks talent but is also not being coached very well.

On third and seven, offensive coordinator Freddie Kitchens felt that running the "Wildcat" with Caleb Hood was a good idea. Pretty sure he was the only one who felt that way.

The first five games of the Bill Belichick era have been an absolute disaster. Sure, no one felt the Tar Heels would be national contenders right away, but we all at least expected them to be competitive and well-prepared.

We haven't seen either from this group, one that is showing that this rebuild is very far from turning things around.

The good news is, the UNC football program can't disappoint us next weekend. Sure, they could do something dumb during the "bye week" (we're sure Belichick and his girlfriend has non-football related plans), but at least they can't put together another embarrassing effort on the field.

Fortunately, we get two weeks to recuperate before we have to suffer through the torture once again.
