While it's still early in her recruitment, the UNC women's basketball program seems to be in a rather good place.

Autumn Fleary, one of the top prospects in the Class of 2026, has already narrowed her recruitment down to 12 schools.

Courtney Banghart and the UNC women's basketball program have made the cut, joining the likes of Duke, Notre Dame, Clemson, Arizona, TCU, UCLA, Virginia Tech, Virginia, Florida, Miami and Maryland. As you can see, Fleary's top 12 list includes plenty of ACC programs.

Fleary is a 5-foot-7 guard from Washington, DC. She plays her high school basketball at Sidwell Friends School and is regarded as one of the top true point guards in her class.

Currently, Fleary ranks as the No. 14 overall prospect in the Class of 2026 (according to ESPN HoopGurlz). She's the second-best-rated point guard in the class, only trailing fellow UNC women's basketball recruiting target Kate Harpring (the No. 2-ranked player in the class).

Of course, no one wants to hear about recruits trimming their options down. Let's face it: most fans just want to see players commit to their favorite teams. However, it is extremely important to note just how well Courtney Banghart and her staff have done on the recruiting trail. Sure, North Carolina is a prime brand, but what Banghart and the Tar Heels are building is something that a lot of top-tier prospects are interested in being part of.

Autumn Fleary seems to be one of those players who are really intrigued by the possibility of becoming a Tar Heel.
